to join, or not to join....welcome to the blogosphere

Hi friends and family...

yes it's true, the long awaited moment has finally arrived...

We have decided to join the blogosphere today!

We know, We know, you have all been holding your breath collectively (We hope you have been intermittently breathing though, because we love you and want you to live).

Here's to many questionably informative entries to come filled with significantly more entertaining pictures!

As we begin our blog, we thought we'd give an update of our life at the moment. We are currently living in a suburb of Philadelphia, while Nate pursues an intense surgical residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. We've been here a year and a half already, and have four more to go, but we're not in any hurry... we LOVE living here! Jenny is busy as mom of Grant and Jack, ages 5 and 2. (2 1/2, as Grant points out, and he's right... Jack's half birthday was indeed yesterday.) She also teaches 17 piano students, who bring challenge, satisfaction, and definitely entertainment to the day.

Grant and Jack are the highlights of our life. They bring us so much joy! Grant is becoming such a compassionate, sensitive, and caring human being. He loves school, loves his bro, loves reading and writing, t-ball, learning piano with mom (wish us luck, folks), and a good game of Scrabble. He's a serious, intense little fellow. He loves doing things for others, and he summed it up nicely the other day: "You know, Mom, Christmas isn't about presents. It's about love. I learned that one from the Grinch!"

Jack is a brute. A really, really cute brute, but a brute nonetheless. Weighing in at 42 lbs. at 2, we know he's got the makings of a linebacker. He is a charming, friendly, and articulate little guy. He loves trucks and dinosaurs, and tells me nearly once an hour, "Mom, you can be a princess, and I'll be a tyrannosaurus, ok?"

Here's a recent pic of the boys at Halloween (we know, it's Christmas. You can expect the Santa pictures to show around Easter, and those of you who know us well, know we're serious!)

Thanks for visiting!
